If you are looking for a quick and inexpensive way to redesign your bedroom to spruce it up a bit, all you really need is a new coat of paint, an attractive new headboard and some new carpet. And the best thing about it is that you can do the whole redesign yourself and it doesn’t have to cost you very much at all to have a new modern and fresh looking bedroom.
To start, think about a headboard. You can easily make your own and it is not that hard to do. One very popular option is to make a white headboard that stands out against a wall painted in just about any color. The headboard can be made from wood or fabric, and can be made in a wide variety of styles, with most being pretty simple to do. You can put together a few slats of wood and paint them white to make a rather minimalistic and contemporary looking headboard, or you can use a sheet of plywood covered with batting and a rich white fabric to make something softer and more luxurious looking. Of course, there are many other options as well, but this just gives you an idea of what the possibilities are.
You can also really freshen up the look of your bedroom with some new carpet and the cheapest way to do that is to buy a remnant carpet and install it yourself. These are usually much cheaper than buying the carpet off the roll, since it is the carpet left at the end of a roll, and installing it is not too difficult, as long as your room is not large enough that you have to deal with seams.
The other aspect that will really change the look and feel of your room is paint. Repainting a room is one of the quickest and least expensive ways to change the look of almost any room, and a bedroom is certainly no exception.
