High quality, long lasting furniture is something everybody loves, but usually finds in short stock in their homes. No doubt this is in direct correlation to the “short stock” contained within their wallets, as it’s no secret that nice furniture has a nice big price tag attached to it, too.
The wardrobe closet, or wardrobe armoire furniture, is no exception to this rule. In fact, armoire furniture practically enforces this rule, as this type of wooden furniture is nearly always of both qualities. That is to say, it’s as expensive as it is high quality.
Is it then worth it to spend such money on the wardrobe armoire and its associate family or wooden cabinets? I think so. Let’s look at 4 reasons to love the armoire.
1. Simply put, wooden furniture looks good. And I don’t mean plywood, or plastic that looks like wood from a distance. I’m referring to real solid wood furniture here. If that’s what you’re looking for, an armoire leads the pack when it comes to quality wooden furniture.
2. You can never have too much storage. Can you? All armoire furniture, be it a wardrobe closet armoire or a jewelry armoire, is designed with storage in mind. By definition, an armoire must have drawers, shelves, or some types of cabinets as the central part of its design. You don’t have to use this storage for what it’s intended for either. That is to say, there’s no reason why you couldn’t use wardrobe closets to store photo albums or antique china dishes instead of just clothes.
3. They’re not going to break down or fall a part. At least not anytime soon. Most armoire furniture is designed for the long haul. This literally means that after parting with your money, you have something that will likely function as designed for as long as your alive and even afterwards. (Family heirloom, anyone? 4. They make a nice family heirloom. Spending the extra money on high quality furniture means you have something that can stay within the family. Antique wardrobe closets are well known for being something passed on from one generation to the next. Do you have something in your family to pass on to your kids? If not, consider starting the tradition with a nice jewelry armoire or wardrobe armoire.
While these reasons are somewhat tongue in cheek, the point stands that if you love high quality wooden furniture that’s designed to last a lifetime, look to the armoire – you won’t be disappointed.
