How to Decide between Just Doors or full Self Contained Shower Units
Cost may be one factor. A set of doors will cost less than a full unit if you already have a tiled bathroom or shower space. The units are prefabricated and will also usually come with a tray or back or side panels that are not natural materials. Walk in shower doors, even if they cost the same as a complete enclosure are a better choice if you want a customized look, have a unique shaped bathroom or if your roof is an odd angle or very low. It will also allow you to create a wet room more easily and adapt more shower heads or small bench to the inside of the area enclosed by the doors. Glass doors are also available to be mounted in many different ways, pivot, sliding or braced to a wall. It is possible that you may need no other walls or trays or fixtures except for the doors.
