As a college student I am constantly reminded, nay, told that I should have a lot more appreciation for my parents, an unnamed supernatural benefactor, my teachers and for all the gifts that have been laden upon me. If you ask me, I’m pretty thankful for plastic storage boxes of all kinds and sizes. I use them for everything from storing stationary to packing my winter clothes – just like my grandmother used to do. If you really put your mind to it and begin organizing something, no matter what it is, you will find that a set of plastic storage baskets will do you great justice.
While boxes and bags are the more commonly used denominator when it comes to things made out of plastic, there are some pretty cool things that you can do with plastic storage baskets. I personally use them all the time. My favorite use for them is in the bathroom though where I have hung a couple of these. One to hold my toiletries, another to hold up paper napkins and the last and the biggest one which I use as a hanging clothing hamper and a laundry bag. These are nothing but the few uses that you could put plastic baskets to.
When you mention the word plastic basket, the one idea that comes to my mind is that of the traditional plastic basket that was installed in front of bicycles in the old days. I remember seeing pictures of baskets like these mounted on bicycle handle bars and have been repeatedly told that they were all the rage back then – much better than all the wicker baskets that everyone else had mounted on their bicycles in the first place.
These baskets and boxes are much stronger than their wicker, wood and cardboard counterparts and are only marginally more expensive. If you are worried about the environmental impact, then don’t be because pretty much all of them are made out of recycled plastic.
