A little girl’s bedroom should be a place where she can feel at home; an inviting and comfortable place to play, grow and sleep. One way to make your little girl’s room more inviting is to incorporate her favorite colors into the interior design of the room. For many girls, that favorite color is pink.
You can easily incorporate the color into your daughter’s room without painting by hanging pink curtains in the windows. Curtains occupy a good amount of space in any room, so you can give the room a completely different feel just by changing the window dressings. There are many different styles of window dressings available in many colors, so whether your daughter into frills, character items or a basic no-nonsense style, you should be able to find window coverings in her favorite color in a style that she will love.
In most cases, the walls of the room will not even need to be painted. However, some colors don’t look good together at all. If the walls and carpeting in the room clash with the new curtain color, it might take more than a change in window dressings to make the room match your child’s personality.
If the room is already painted in a pastel color, a lighter shade of pink should work well, even if the room itself is yellow, blue or green. You can use a solid color or a pattern such as pink gingham curtains to complement the other color. For a room that is painted in a brighter color, hot pink curtains may be a better choice.
