Ideas For Kids Bedroom Themes

A custom decorated home should be a haven for everyone who lives there.  Personalized touches, including bedroom themes, should be a part of the plan.  Common areas of the home ought to be relaxing and inviting to family members and guests.  Although it looks elegant, opulent and expensive furnishings should be reserved for the formal living room rather than great rooms, and common areas where the family gathers.  The home should make friends and family feel like it is OK to kick your feet up, or sit a cup of coffee on the table; on a coaster of course.  Some people relax those boundaries even, and do not require the use of coasters.

A master bedroom that has its own bath and sitting area is equipped for those rainy days when you just wanna stay in bed, read, or look at movies all day.  A kid’s room that has a theme stimulates the imagination.  If parents surround children with color and activity from birth, they will develop and learn at an accelerated rate.  Most kids of school age like bedroom themes that relate to their favorite toys or movies.  Some that would make the list include.

1. Toy Story

2. Barbie

3. Pirates of the Caribbean

4. Hello Kitty

5. Winnie the Pooh

6. Tinkerbell Bedding

Older boys might prefer Transformers, or something sports related.  Girls love anything pink, although there are some exceptions.  Kids bedroom themes can be something boys and girls can relate to such as:

A. Nature

B. Science or Astronomy

C. Music

D. Technology

E. Video Games

Murals are great if parents are artistic or know someone who can do a good job.  There are so many how-to sites online that teach those who want to do it themselves.  Parents or kids could make it a project, which makes decor more personal.  Add the matching bedroom rug and whole room is outfitted to please any kid.  Some parents will allow children to have TVs and computers in the bedrooms whereas others do not.

With either choice, books and other stimulating activities replaces TV and computer watching for variety.  Technology is now introducing the virtual mural that simulates a sunrise, sunset and other ideas.  Technical ideas are moving throughout the home.  While families are spending less time together, the time that is spent can be filled with quality and convenience.  Technical advances make this possible.  Although, without boundaries it can also have each family member texting all evening while doing their own thing.
